next two weeks in homeschooling

popular music/musicians (continued–it’s just so much fun, and there’s endless learning potential here); magicians; Ireland; Mongolia

This post is partly just to let friends & family know what we’re up to. But it’s also to solicit ideas: please share ideas for activities and art projects, links to videos and images, personal anecdotes, stuff we should look up, or whatever you’ve got!

Have you heard of the documentary series with Ewan MacGregor called ‘Long Way Round’? It’s basically amazing on several levels but they travel by motorcycle through Mongolia and I found it really fascinating to see the place from such an up close lens. I looked it up and episodes 5 and 6 include Mongolia http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EgA8tSDiM5U <<< this is episode 5 and the same YouTube user has episode 6…there is some mild profanity in the show like arse and such, I think the f's and such are bleeped but I am not 100% sure on that, not sure on your feeling that kind of thing but just a head's up. Noah might love this…or you will at the very least! :)

Oh, excellent, thanks! We don’t exactly have a lot of knowledge & resources re: Mongolia.

I am firmly pro-profanity, for future reference.

As am I, as am I. I never quite understood all the big fuss made about it.
